At the Legal Procurement Group we have extensive knowledge and experience of working with providing cost reduction solution to legal networks & memberships.
Like any legal network or membership the question is always, what benefits shall we offer, what can we offer that really adds value to our members. When that has been decided the next question is, how do we service it.
Any type of cost reduction service, especially via high end service providers is a real benefit to a business. Unfortunately not every firm will take advantage of this type of member benefit, they may ‘cherry pick’ what suits them at the relevant time but then at least they are taking advantage of the service. Others will embrace it, getting as much of it as possible. Whether that be a stationery review, energy review, telecoms review or a review of their DX costs, some firms really engage with these types of services.
The key for you though, as the legal network or membership and the provider of these services, is too ensure that behind the offering is the resource to manage it. There have been many examples, certainty in the legal sector, where buying groups have failed. Typically this is down to resource in that whist there is what would appear to be a list of supply services the processes are not in place to assist with enquires and ensure the ‘customer journey’ is robustly in place.
We believe that for any buying group to succeed, especially in a support perspective as a member benefit to a network, there needs to be people in place to facilitate the service. Not just the suppliers, facilitators that can engage with the client initially to determine their needs.
